Meeting large-format printing needs

The value-priced IBM Infoprint 1226 is a monochrome laser printer that supports large-format applications. Offering high-performance printing at a speed of up to 26 pages-per-minute (ppm), the Infoprint 1226 has an impressive first-page-out time of 8 seconds. It can print oversized documents at 1200 image quality, making it ideal for CAD/CAM, desktop publishing and graphic arts applications, as well as spreadsheets, retail store signage, cartography, and more.

Enabling robust print management

With the optional IBM Intelligent Printer Data Stream™ (IPDS™) capability, the Infoprint 1226 facilitates robust print management. IPDS interprets data from applications to identify what data has or has not printed, even if an interruption occurs, for reliable delivery and better error handling and recovery.

Providing networking flexibility

The Infoprint 1226 provides connectivity options which include Token Ring, Fast Ethernet, and wireless Ethernet, as well as support for Bluetooth wireless technology.

New wireless printing solutions for the Infoprint 1226 are designed to meet the needs of businesses large and small. Bluetooth technology lets you print to the Infoprint 1226 from PCs, handheld devices and mobile phones, and offers built-in authentication and encryption technology for secure data transfer. Wireless Ethernet can enable wireless connectivity to local area network (LAN) resources including servers, printers, PCs and laptops.

Supplies

No supplies are required with the machine order. The Infoprint 1226 is shipped with 6,000-print cartridge. Replacement high-yield 12,000-print cartridges are available. It is the customer's responsibility to order and maintain an adequate inventory of toner cartridges.

IBM customers have come to expect high quality supplies with competitive prices. IBM now offers a second option for purchasing supplies. Our new program offers you an opportunity to obtain toner cartridges that are even more competitively priced than before.

Supply items cannot be ordered as a service part. The customer is responsible for ordering and installing usage kits, supplies and consumables. If the customer requests an IBM CE to install these items, it is a billable service call.

Supply warranties are for defects in materials and workmanship at the time of shipment/installation and as such are not covered under the base printer warranty or post warranty service and support. The warranty does not cover print count life or normal wear and tear, nor any print count minimum.

The customer should contact their place of purchase for warranty any supplies warranty issues.

IBM Workgroup Laser Printing Supplies are available around the world through a network of local dealers.

Approximate yield has been established with an average coverage of 5%. An "impression" is defined as one printed side of a sheet. A duplex sheet would consist of two impressions. Toner darkness = 8.

The above items for Infoprint 1226 are considered supplies and, as such, are not available from IBM service or included in the warranty or maintenance service agreement. If the customer requires IBM to install any supply items, IBM will do so at an additional cost to the customer.

The approximate average yields are not a warranty or guarantee of minimum life, and are provided to assist in initial supplies planning. Actual usage should be used to establish the supply's life in the end user's application. Many factors (for example, print coverage per page, machine settings, paper type and size, and environmental conditions) can affect supply life.
