Small footprint, big capabilities

A low-cost printer with enclosed paper drawers and a very small footprint, the Infoprint 1222 from IBM is a high-performance printer that is ideal for small workgroups and businesses; especially those with limited space. The Infoprint 1222 is a black-and-white laser printer that prints up to 22 pages per minute (ppm) and offers 300 dpi, 600 dpi and 1200 image quality resolution settings. Additionally, its 200 MHz processor enables fast processing of complex jobs and a first-page-out time of ten seconds1 for quick turnaround and increased productivity.

Lowering the total cost of ownership

With duplex paper handling as a standard feature, the Infoprint 1222 can help save paper costs, thereby enabling a lower total cost of printing. The only supply item for the Infoprint 1222 is a toner cartridge, which is available in a high-yield version to help you minimize costly interventions and lost time due to supply outages. Print darkness settings on the Infoprint 1222 can help you save as much as 50 percent on toner usage to further increase the time between supply replacements and help save money. Additionally, IBM offers a cartridge return program to help keep supply costs low. Included with the Infoprint 1222, the MarkVision print management tool, which offers proactive, realtime monitoring and a simple user interface, can help you lower printer management costs.

Enabling mobile computing and wireless technology

New wireless printing solutions for the Infoprint 1222 are designed to meet the needs of businesses large and small. Bluetooth technology lets you print to the Infoprint 1222 from PCs, handheld devices and mobile phones, and offers built-in authentication and encryption technology for secure data transfer. Wireless Ethernet can enable wireless connectivity to local area network (LAN) resources including servers, printers, PCs and laptops.
