IBM Infoprint 4400
The IBM 4400 Model 004 is a new addition to the IBM 4400
family of compact, rugged industrial thermal printers. The IBM
4400 printers offer print resolution of 203 or 300 dots per inch
(DPI), and maximum print speeds up to 10 inches per second (IPS).
The new Model 004 is an entry-level, bar code printer with a
nominal 4-inch print width, and a print speed of 8 or 10 IPS.
The primary applications are for the production of bar codes and
graphics on labels and tags in an industrial environment.
Since the maximum noise level for the IBM 4400 was designed for
an industrial environment, this printer is normally not suitable
for office environments

IBM 4400 Printer Cleaner Pen
One box of cleaner pens, part number 69G7345, contains twelve
pens. The cleaning pen will last for up to eight printhead
cleanings. The printhead should be cleaned upon changing ribbon
or print media.
The cleaner pens are supply items and, as such, are not
available from IBM service or included in the Warranty or
Maintenance Service Agreement.
